On July 20, 2026, the Government of Ontario introduced a major structural overhaul to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). The legacy Employer Job Offer streams were replaced by a consolidated 130-point scoring model known as the Ontario Workforce Priority Stream (OWPS).

The 11-Factor OWPS Scoring Model

2. Human Capital (Max 45 Points)
Evaluates educational attainment level, Canadian study credentials, official language proficiency (CLB 4 to CLB 10+), and English/French bilingualism.
3. Adaptability & Ties (Max 36 Points)
Evaluates cumulative Ontario work experience, CRA income tax filing history ($40k+ to $100k+), and legal temporary resident status in Canada.
